Anuschka bags, meaning “like no other” were founded in 1984 by Roma and Swapan Basu whose mission was to create “hand painted, functional art” while supporting local artisans through training and employment. Each beautifully vibrant, unique, top-grain leather bag is hand-signed.
Our CONSIGNMENT PROGRAM
Earn extra money with our 50/50 consignment program. We accept in-season, new or next to new clothing and like new footwear for the whole family, as well as jewelry, accessories, and handbags.
We do not accept housewares at this time.
ARTISAN OPPORTUNITIES
Are you a crafter or artist? We provide space in our shop for you to display your fine work. Our current selection includes home-dried herbs/spices, all-natural Cardigan Mountain Soaps, home decor, and handmade jewelry and artwork.

We love our Volunteers
Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. Shop volunteers give 2 hours a week to assist customers, sort clothing, work on displays, and keep our shop ship shape (say that 3 times fast!)
You might also help coordinate our special shop events, like clothing drives, and the annual Free Prom Dress event.
